When you choose one of our locations, your family belongs to one team consisting of a pediatrician and a physician assistant or a Nurse Practioner. Laura Ashley Hicks, PA-C
Laura Ashley Hicks is a nationally certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Biology and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2018 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. Her previous experience has been in Primary Care with a focus on Pediatrics. After growing up in Texas and Louisiana, Ashley has recently moved to the Austin area from Phoenix, AZ to be close to family and is excited to join Elgin Pediatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and hiking with her spouse and 2 dogs. As a provider, Ashley strives to deliver the most up-to-date, evidence-based medicine centered around lifestyle habits. With a focus on building relationships with patients and their families, Ashley looks forward to providing comprehensive care to children of all ages.
Trisha Patel
Trisha Patel is a dedicated pediatric nurse practitioner whose passion for nurturing young lives shines both in and beyond the practice. With a warm and engaging approach that puts young patients at ease, she combines her clinical expertise with a playful spirit, honed through years of experience at daycare centers before transitioning to pediatric nursing. Her career in healthcare is driven by a profound commitment to children's well-being. She likes to blend her medical skills with the intuitive touch of someone who has spent countless hours shaping young minds and healing tiny bodies. When she is not at work, she cherishes her time at home, whether it's tending to her garden, hosting family events, or simply unwinding with a good book. When not at home, she loves to explore the outdoors and wildlife. She looks forward to treating your little ones and providing them with the absolute best possible experience.
Dr. Jenny Jacomides
Dr. Jenny Jacomides, a Board Certified pediatrician, attended the University of Texas at Austin. She then finished Medical School at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Jacomides completed her pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. Following residency, Dr. Jacomides joined the Southwestern Medical School Faculty as an assistant professor of pediatrics. She taught medical students and residents while working in Pediatric Urgent Care and as a Pediatric Hospitalist. She also oversaw newborn care at the Parkland Memorial hospital newborn nursery. 4. In 2006, Dr. Jacomides moved to Austin with her family. She enjoys living in the Hill Country and taking care of patients in private practice. Her husband, Dr. Lucas Jacomides, is an urologist in the Round Rock area. In her personal time, Dr. Jacomides enjoys spending time with her children. She also enjoys art, photography and travel.
Dr. Flores Perkins
Dr. Perkins completed her pediatric training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. With over 25 years of practice experience, she has worked in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. In her free time, she enjoys reading mystery books, walking, and spending time with her family. Dr. Perkins is excited to join PCOA and collaborate with families to help their children reach their full potential.
Madison Pryor, PA
Madison (Maddy) Pryor was born and raised in Central Texas. She graduated in 2017 from Baylor University cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a minor in Spanish. She then attended University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth where she earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in 2020. She is board certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA), and the Central Texas Physician Assistant Society (CTPAS). As a Physician Assistant, she is able to see children of all ages for well child exams, as well as acute or chronic complaints. She is happily married, and looks forward to growing their family. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring the beautiful hiking trails in the area.
Daniel Wood, PA-C
Daniel Wood is a nationally certified physician assistant and has been a practicing since 2000. He is a past president of the Society of Physician Assistants in Pediatrics and has spoken nationally numerous times on topics concerning children. Wood grew up in Houston and moved to Austin in 2013 from San Antonio. He attended The Ohio State University and received his masters in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Nebraska Medical Center. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, reading and cooking with his wife Karen and children, Noah and Juliette.
